Zelda woke to the sounds of the river. It was as if the river was alive, roaring like a wild animal. She wondered how she had been able to fall asleep. Yet at the same time she realized how peaceful it was with the sounds of the birds and the rest of the forest playing around her, and she suddenly felt an overwhelming sense of calmness.

She opened her eyes slowly as she leaned one arm back, gradually sitting herself up. Her senses took in the lovely smells and sight around her. It was exotic and she felt a desire to be near Link while awake in this appealing atmosphere.

It was as if her hair trickled down her back and front like water, covering the shoulder blades and parts of her delicate breasts. It also seemed like forever since she had seen Link, but it was only just last night. Shortly after he had returned to Hyrule he had discovered news of the princesses' disappearance. The village had believed her to have been kidnapped by the warrior known as Sheik. Sheik had been Zelda, and Link had been one of few who knew of Sheik's true identity.

Zelda's thoughts continued on as she looked back on Link's determination to find her. She wondered how if he had not found her this day would never have come. They would never had shared their joining last night or the night before. She knew how sad she would have been, wandering aimlessly as a lost princess in disguise. She didn't realize until Link came back just how lonely she was.

As she stepped over a tree's giant root, she gently placed her hand on its trunk. It was as if the tree welcomed her warmth since its branches seemed to reach out and down towards her, but she didn't seem to notice the branches or the rest of the forest at this particular moment. The only thing that seemed in existence was Link, who was right before her very own eyes. He appeared to be doing some exercies, stretching his legs into the air to do a hand stand. He held himself up with one arm.

As Zelda came closer, he gently lowered his body, placing his lower weight, his knees on the backs of his arms. Zelda had never noticed before how flexible he was, but then she knew how strong of a warrior he is. He was a hero. It made sense he was agile, and able to be such a versatile exerciser. She only wished he'd woken her up earlier. Perhaps she would have put his skills to the test once again. She wanted to grin at the thought, but Link hadn't said a word to her yet, which seemed to take all the silliness out of her.

She also wanted desperately to say his name or to touch his body, but she would not dare to disturb him. He was in a sort of warrior trance and he needed his focus. She waited for him to move on to his next exercise. She was hoping it would involve her.

And... it did.

wow. the story and the picture are amazing.

Aww... thank you! I was worried you wouldn't like it! :XD: Because it's a piece I did that I actually like for once! lol. I think it's my favorite in my gallery as of yet! I don't know why. I just love the lighting and everything turned out the way I wanted it to and more... and that almost never happens to me. I mean, having a picture turn out almost the way I wanted it to!

Thank you. I'm glad you like how I do the hair. I didn't used to be able to draw hair, but... you know, I stopped thinking about how to draw her when you're actually drawing it. I go with the feel of what looks right. It's not like I plan how the hair is going to look. It always comes to me as I'm drawing. I think that's a good way to draw hair. It takes practice. But it's the only thing I've sort of got down. If only I could get the rest of the stuff down! :XD:

Your always really good with the anatomy. :D I haven't gotten that even close to being mastered. :XD:

 I don't know why I always have those Link exercises... I just think it's cool to draw him doing some crazy thing no one has seen before, I guess! lol !

I'm just glad you liked the story/the picture. It makes me really happy to hear. :)

it's great to hear that you like it and everything turned out how you wanted. you must've really poured some of yourself into the drawing then. :)

i've gone with the what feels right, though what feels right doesn't look right for me... anyways.
but if that method works then, maybe i should try it more often.
heh thanks. but my anatomy is very beginner-like. of late, i just can't wrap my head around leg muscles. *sigh* and i've been self-teaching myself anatomy since the beginning of summer this year.

link's exercises are awesome. i mean he is an elf and all, and maybe elves have all these crazy warm-ups or something... well i dunno. it's just really neat. :)

the story is really amazing. i love the way you write, wish i could read more stuff from you. :)
